The baby boy of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker is safe after the pregnant Kardashian had “urgent fetal surgery.”
The 44-year-old oldest Kardashian sister revealed on Wednesday that she had been in the hospital the previous week by sharing an Instagram photo of herself holding her husband’s hand while seeming to be in a bed.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” the expectant mother said in the post. My rock, my husband, who came running from his tour to be at my side in the hospital and take care of me afterward, has my lifelong gratitude. And I want to thank my mother for helping me through this.
As someone who has previously experienced three quite straightforward pregnancies, she said, “I wasn’t ready for the prospect of going into urgent fetal surgery. Anyone who hasn’t experienced something comparable, in my opinion, cannot begin to comprehend that sensation of fear. I now completely understand and admire mothers who have had to struggle while still pregnant for their baby.
“Praise be to God,” she added as she concluded her caption. The greatest blessing was leaving the hospital with my baby son still inside of me and secure.
Blink-182 said on their band’s official X, previously Twitter, on Friday that “Travis has had to return home to the States due to an urgent family matter.” As a result, three of their U.K. concerts had to be canceled.
The Barkers revealed in an Instagram video that they were having a boy in June with a real drumroll and blue streamers.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” celebrity and creator of Poosh made a big deal out of her pregnancy announcement earlier that month by putting up a placard that said “Travis, I’m pregnant” during a Blink-182 concert in Los Angeles. The announcement referred to the group’s 1999 music video for the song “All The Small Things.”
Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, are the children of ex-Scott Disick and Kardashian Barker. With his ex-girlfriend Shanna Moakler, Barker has two children together: Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17 (Atiana, 24, is Moakler’s daughter with Oscar De la Hoya).
