Turner, 27, and Jonas, 34, both shared a joint statement on social media on Wednesday announcing the dissolution of their four-year union.
They both posted a statement on Instagram reading, “Statement from the two of us: “After four beautiful years of marriage we have mutually chosen to amicably dissolve our marriage.”
There are many possible explanations, but ultimately, this is a shared choice, and we hope that everyone will respect our wishes for privacy for both us and our children.

The declaration comes after Jonas, according to records acquired by PEOPLE, filed for divorce from Turner on Tuesday in Miami. It was stated in the filing that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”
According to the divorce papers, the Jonas Brothers singer and the Game of Thrones actor had a prenuptial agreement in place.
After almost three years of dating, the couple were married in 2019 and had two weddings to celebrate: one in Las Vegas and the other in France.
Together, they have two children: Willa, 3; and D.J., a second daughter who was born in July 2022 and is named in the divorce papers.
According to the report, Jonas hired a divorce attorney on Saturday. A source later said the couple had been “living separate lives for months” and had spent “the whole summer apart.”
