The Daytime Emmy Award winner passed away on Friday in Austin.

Miller was reportedly “struggling with ‘ manic depression’ when he died.” The reason for death was not given in detail.

Stause, 42, a star of Selling Sunset, collaborated with Miller when the Daytime Emmy Award winner joined the soap opera as Richie Novak in 2007. From 2005 until 2011, Stause portrayed Amanda Dillon.

Stause sent a heartfelt homage to her “friend” and former co-star on Instagram on Sunday, the actor’s 44th birthday.

The actress said that she was still “processing” the news of Miller’s demise beside a picture of him kissing her on the cheek on a red carpet and a picture of him with the words, “Billy Miller 1979-2023,” scribbled over it.

Too many emotions, but I’m glad I got to work with you for all those years and I’m also glad to call you a friend. You left us too soon. Stause said, “I hope you are at peace now.

His Eileen Davidson, a co-star on The Young and the Restless, also paid homage on social media and shared a flashback photo of the two at the 2014 Emmys, when they both received trophies.
